SEO Marketing is a search and website design agency based in Marlow, Buckinghamshire. For the purposes of UK data protection law we are the data controller for personal data collected through this website and in the course of providing our services.

We only collect what we need to answer an enquiry or deliver work you have asked for.

Enquiry details are held on the basis of legitimate interests, so that we can reply to you and keep a record of what was discussed. Client data is held to perform our contract with you. Analytics and non-essential cookies are used only with your consent, given through the cookie banner. Some records, principally invoices, are kept because we are legally required to keep them.

This site uses essential cookies that make it work, and optional analytics cookies that tell us which pages are useful. Analytics cookies are not set until you accept them, and you can change your choice at any time through the cookie settings link in the footer.
We use Google Analytics with IP anonymisation enabled, and Google Search Console, which reports search performance in aggregate rather than by individual. Neither is used to build a marketing profile of you.

We do not sell personal data, and we do not share it for advertising. We do use a small number of processors who handle data on our behalf under contract.

Enquiries that do not become projects are deleted after 24 months. Client records are kept for the duration of the engagement and then for six years, which is the period we are required to retain financial records. Analytics data is retained for 14 months. Server logs are kept for 30 days.

Under UK GDPR you have the right to ask what we hold about you, to have it corrected, to have it deleted, to restrict or object to how we use it, and to receive a copy in a portable format. Where we rely on consent, you can withdraw it at any time.

The site is served over HTTPS. Access to client data is limited to the people working on your account, protected by strong authentication, and backed up daily. If a breach occurred that risked your rights, we would notify you and the ICO within 72 hours.

If you are unhappy with how we have handled your data, please raise it with us first so we can put it right. You also have the right to complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
We update this policy when our practices or the law change. Material changes will be flagged on this page with a revised date.
